Materials & Standards

Beautiful spaces begin with thoughtful choices. Material information deserves a place alongside design, function and craftsmanship.

What goes into your home matters.

We believe a curtain should be considered for more than its colour or texture. Quality, fabric construction, use, maintenance and material information all help shape the right choice for a home.

Our work begins with listening. We then narrow down the appropriate designs and materials, explain relevant trade-offs and follow through with fabrication, installation and after-sales service.

Our approach to material selection

  • Fabric quality and construction. We consider texture, drape, durability, light control and care requirements.
  • Relevant material information. We review supplier specifications and available product-specific testing or certifications where applicable.
  • Suitability for real living. We consider how a fabric will work in a bedroom, living room or commercial environment.
  • Professional advice. We recommend materials that balance aesthetic expectations with functional needs and budget.

Understanding OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 tests textiles against defined limits for a range of harmful substances. Curtains belong to the furnishing and decoration category (Product Class IV). It is one useful form of product evidence; it is not a universal guarantee of zero toxins or zero VOC emissions.

Certification should always be checked against the specific fabric collection and its current certificate scope. We do not claim that every fabric in our catalogue, or every finished curtain, carries the same certification.

Selected certified fabrics

For clients who value recognised material-safety testing, we offer selected fabrics with available certification documentation, subject to collection and availability. We can discuss certification information for the fabrics being considered rather than making a blanket claim about the entire range.

Our selection evolves over time. Supplier brands and collections are reviewed individually, with product-specific claims made only when the relevant documentation is available.

We help you choose with confidence.

Material standards are one part of a considered curtain. Our role is to help you understand what matters for your home, choose an appropriate design and see the project through carefully—from the first consultation to after-sales support.

Frequently asked questions

Are all your fabrics OEKO-TEX certified?

No. Selected collections have relevant certification documentation. We verify the scope for the exact fabric in question.

Does certified mean the fabric is completely non-toxic?

No certification proves absolute zero risk or zero chemicals. OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 addresses specific harmful substances against defined limits.

Can I request material and certification information?

Yes. Tell us what is important to you during consultation, and we can discuss available materials and product-specific documentation.
